Hi Krista checking in from African adventures…wow am honoured that you would take the time. Blogging is so wonderful..we do meet the most wonderful people and the fact that people are outraged about this helps me enormously

About the fire….we have a lovely young man in our block who is a solicitor/barrister and he is putting pressure on the strata here to finally do something…especially in light of the fact that after our previous two electrical fires in our flat they refused to upgrade the box, and I have the paperwork to prove it so it shows a pattern of neglect etc etc and very useful at present

Not too long and then you are back home for the holidays!

Hi Kathleen! Checking in from the road, and I hate to see this bad news! As you say, at least no one was hurt (well, badly, I mean – I’m sure your son wasn’t hankering for a shock!). I hope it all gets sorted and that you don’t have to worry about faulty electrical units anymore.

Also miffed about the charity shop – what is their DEAL? It is really unfortunate that these things always seem to happen to the nicest people! Keep fighting the good fight and don’t let them mess with your holiday spirit!

oh, dear kathleen! i think your son is right – that sounds like a shop to stay away from. i also don’t see how it could possibly your responsibility when you were urged repeatedly to take the fabric from the shop and not to worry about paying.

i am glad to hear no one was physically hurt from the fire. i do hope they get the electrical box up to safety standards to prevent another fire… what a day!

Hugs. I would have been in tears too, if my integrity was called into question like that. Especially when you have been nothing, but open and honest.

Am so glad you were not hurt or asleep when the fire took place.
