I Finally Did It

magikquilter October 3rd, 2008

Today I had coffee with a young old soul and while showing her my Annah Stratton thrift find of a few weeks ago she said “you should sell this” so long story short I came home and loaded up some items to my etsy [that I have been talking about forever] store !!!!

It took forever but am hoping to get more skilled as I go along and therefore the whole experience should be quicker. Needless to say it is 8.05pm and the microwave is beeping as I try to get dinner as well as upload photos to etsy and find and iron goodies for my scrap bags of delightful designers bits and pieces. Lace, here I come and buttons, just look out! This makes me really admire people like Melissa who every week add a certain amount of stock to her store and she has two young children as well.

I finally decided on the givaway gifts …who would have thought that having too much choice would impact the prizes…sorry winners and thanks for your patience. Postage bags being sent out early next week to Sophie, Lauren and Judy. A hint of some of the sort of things which will be in there.

Congratulations on the shop. I actually started an etsy account yesterday also. I am going to wait until after Nater’s birthday (the 11th) to start doing anything with it. And then it depends on how well we are doing with home schooling. That takes a lot of time as you know.

That zebra print is awesome. I was noticing it in your sidebar. I saw some at Walmart that looked almost identical.

    Have a great day

    Thanks Tess…
my goodness it takes forever! I admire the people like Tiny Happy’s Melissa who regularly put up about eight items on the same day each week…but I am rethinking that as I just can’t sit in one place for that amount of time…might do one thing a day or two…haven’t even photographed my fabric and laces yet!!!

    Hi Angie
yes I know the homeschooling takes time but as he should be more able to be self motivated as he gets older hopefully it will get better. Not guaranteeing it though as it does not suit everyone. with a bit of luck if you could earn extra it could go towards either helping him with that or going towards a private fund for high school. That zebra is amazing I agree and very lucky to find them as they are hand painted on silk…they are signed..maybe they should go into my shop then people could do whatever they want with them!!!

I’m on my way to check out your shop. I’ve tossed around the idea of opening one, too…but it’s just an idea.

    The giveaway prizes look exciting!

Kathleen, my beautiful yarn arrived today. What a lovely color and a wonderful surprise. I needed a pick me up today, and your package did the trick. Thank you so much. Now to decide what to make with it…something special…It’s so luxurious and soft…maybe a scarf (for me).

Great Judy I was wondering if you would do a scarf as it is nice to have something to keep you warm and is also quick to crochet. Well done with your rug…finally got my bandwidth back so saw it today…have been sick for a few days so have not been commenting much…getting lots of bed rest and reading done.
