There is nothing like good quality cotton velvet for richness of colour. I always found it a pleasure to work with (though a bugger to applique and embroider on). LOL

And despite what people think, easy to care for. It’s cotton, after all.

It is wonderful to sew and as a matter of fact I topstitched it all around the edges…half way through I thought I should have used contrasting silk thread. Might do that next year!

Thanks Judy….I often ‘feel’ something calling to me when there is something there, though the time with my purple beauty i had no idea and the manager mentioned them as I was passing through…they had just come in. Though I have to say there were also a lot of other things that were not so classic which I left for some younger braver soul. Just because it fits is not enough reason to buy it…..I try to only buy stuff that I would pay full price for if new….that is my litmus test. The couch cover is also textured which is nice…I may use it for backing on an upholstery throw.
