Wonderful vintage finds

Over the past weeks I have had a fabulous run of luck with my thrift shopping, finding a Penguin Classics written by William Morris which promises to be an eyeopener, as I had no idea he aspired to one of my favourite genres of writing, science fiction.
I also found The Designs of William Morris which is a delightful little book showcasing various textiles, wallpaper designs, artworks etc. Then I was excited to find Fabulous Fabrics of the 50s which is a lot of fun with wonderful photos of vintage fabric. I would highly recommend this book and it is quite reasonably priced.
The coasters are various Henry De Toulouse-Lautrec lithographs and absolutely divine. All these goodies are resting on three, yes three metres, of a glorious patterned wool crepe from which I shall probably make a skirt and perhaps a few wraps which will be backed with emerald silk dupion.
Ooh almost forgot the cute little Liberty coin purse, isn’t it too special?

Great finds, Kathleen!
